Ryan Boder founded suretyCAM with a single goal – to shake up the security industry and show customers that it can be done differently, that it can be done better. The security industry needs a shot in the arm. Ryan brings a fresh perspective that is based on common sense as well as advanced engineering. His background as a software, electrical and computer engineer developing top secret military systems has given him the ideal technical foundation on which to build the next generation of security and automation services. suretyCAM is not a sales organization, it is a security engineering firm owned and managed by engineers. Our mission is to help you protect yourself by providing you with the tools and the knowledge to do so.

Ryan’s experience in home security includes designing and installing custom security, automation and access control systems for the high-end residences of the rich and famous. Millionaires and even billionaires have trusted Ryan to design their home security systems and now he’s applying those same concepts to your home. Ryan’s experience in commercial security includes high definition networked surveillance, loss prevention and access control with a focus on quality, reliability and remote control via the Internet.

Receiving a B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, from Carnegie Mellon University and a M.S. degree in Computer Engineering, from Ohio State University, Ryan’s work has been featured in the United States Army and Navy systems as well as Israeli, French, South Korean and Italian defense systems.

Ryan’s areas of expertise are security alarm, surveillance and automation systems, access control systems, the cohesive integration of heterogeneous devices, QoS in wireless networks, instrumentation radar and motion control, distributed system design, real-time operating systems, reliable embedded systems, discrete event simulators, Internet and web based software, and project management.

His exceptional ability to visualize threats, plan for and prevent possible attacks, make him an invaluable asset to potential and existing customers alike.

Eamon served for a decade coordinating and executing secure transport for high profile clients such as CEOs, politicians, sports and entertainment figures. The world’s elite have trusted Eamon to provide safe transport from 30,000 feet up in a private jet to the unforgiving woods of the Rocky Mountains.

After graduating from Ohio University with a B.A. in Aviation Science, Eamon served as assistant chief flight instructor before transitioning into the security industry.

Eamon’s areas of expertise include security design, planning and consultation, suretyCAM D-Fence application, secure transportation and logistics, avionics, alarm and automation design, business intelligence, elite skiing and mountain biking.


Jay Skock

Jay Skock is one of the most creative and brightest minds in the security industry. His background includes building luxury hidden flat screen televisions out of 1-way mirrored glass making them invisible to burglars when turned off. He holds a BA in Asian Studies and International Business and a MA in History from Bowling Green State University. Jay’s analytical mind is able to take problems, break them apart, and find solutions quickly and effectively.

As a suretyCAM security engineer Jay prides himself on doing what’s right and never letting the customer down. His no-nonsense approach to working with customers and finding the right solution to solve their problems is part of what sets suretyCAM apart from every other security service provider out there.

Jason is a rising star in the security industry who serves the public disseminating his unparalleled expertise and always staying on top of the latest trends and happenings in the security world.

Jason Carnahan is suretyCAM’s lead editor and creative copy writer. Jason’s unique ability to wield the English language and blend complex technical concepts with readability and just the right amount of humor make his work both interesting and educational for all.

Jason has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Bowling Green State University.


Amanda Swan

DIY Security Director

Amanda Swan has made it her mission to teach the do it yourself community how to protect, secure and automate their property by combining the best technology with suretyCAM’s superior central station monitoring and cloud interactive security and home automation services.

Amanda has a Bachelor of Science from Miami University, where she studied manufacturing and management engineering, as well as psychology. After graduation, Amanda worked in finance which, combined with her technical background, allowed her to develop an eye for detail and a creative approach to problem solving. Her background and the unique perspective she brings to the historically male dominated security and automation industry make her a valued addition to suretyCAM’s team.

Jess is a born and raised security aficionado. Her father is an active duty law enforcement officer and she’s been heavily interested and involved with personal security and law enforcement for as far back as she can remember. Before joining suretyCAM, Jess worked as licensed, armed private security guard.
